Effective and efficient practical learning of Biblical Hebrew is now possible through the innovative platform Bible Online Learner (see https://learner.bible/), or in short Bible OL. But it requires professional support and training!
The Online professor (TOP)
- is a partner of the Bible OL team with United Bible Societies' Nida Institute for Biblical Scholarship as the leading partner
- offers Biblical Hebrew instruction based on BibleOL through the Global Biblical Hebrew with courses for beginner, basic and advanced levels.
- has as TOP mission to train-the-trainer for Bible translation organizations, universities, graduate schools and seminaries in Africa and beyond. His advisor is the Director of Nida, Reinier de Blois , He is using the PERSUADE model (submitted for publication)
- distributes Biblical Hebrew learning for Bible OL on TheWell
From 2008 until 2023 The Online Professor, Nicolai Winther-Nielsen, coordinated the development of BibleOL in collaboration with programmer Claus Tøndering.
He has global experience as a visiting professor in
- Madagascar at SALT in Fianarantsoa 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015
- Ethiopia at Mekane Yesus Seminary in 2019, at Wycliffe Ethiopia in 2019, 2022-2024, and at Evangelical Theological College 2025
- Kenya at Pan African Christian University (PAC) in the Spring of 2026 and at Africa International University 2026-2027 with Morten Mumo Rasmussen from BTL
